About Us
'Kickabout' is FA affiliated 6 & 7 a side mens football leagues in Sheffield at the 3G astroturf Sheffield University Norton Sports Park pitches on Warminster Road (S8 8PS). We also hold a womens casual football session and are soon launching a brand new Womens 6 a side league at the same venue in 2022. We have future plans to launch daytime (student) 5 a side & (retired) Walking Football Leagues. If interested in any of our initiatives, get in touch!
We are affiliated to the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA which means we only use FA qualified referees and top quality facilities. Match balls are also kept fresh and replaced regularly.
On Wednesday nights it's our flagship, established and city-wide known 7 a side league! Boasting 28 teams, 4 divisions and a Cup competition, it’s the most sought after small-sided league in the city! Games are 35 minutes long and take place between 7-10pm with match costs £40 per team, per game. All matches are filmed with goals and highlights posted online on YouTube (Kickabout Sheffield) & Instagram (@kickabout.sheff) as well as 'Goal' and 'Player of The Month' awards, Trophies/Medals for League Champions and Cup Winners and individual stats and honours at the end of each season. We are currently full for this schedule but feel free to join the waiting list at any time!
On Monday nights its our brand new 6 a side league at (the same venue) Norton Sports Park. Games are 35 mins and take place between 7-10pm. It’s £35 per team/per match and is starting in May. We currently have 10 teams signed up and there are potentially places available to join this schedule. No confirmation has been made yet on whether these matches will be filmed. However stats, awards and medals & trophies will be given at the end of the season.
We are aiming to launch a Womens 6 a side league on sand dressed astroturf at Norton Sports Park on Wednesday nights between 8-9:20pm. We are actively looking for more teams to launch this ASAP!
